2021 is looking bright after the trials of 2020 taught us how we can better serve our cheesemakers and customers.
In August we asked for your help in supporting cheesemakers through the turbulence of the Covid-19 pandemic. More than 2,000 cheese lovers signed up to the Buy British Cheese Subscription which meant that cheesemakers were able to keep producing cheese and that customers received a selection of delicious cheese each month. With renewed Covid-19 restrictions triggering the abrupt closure of restaurants at their most lucrative time of the year, the cheese crisis is far from over. We are committed to supporting our cheesemakers and to providing our customers with excellent British cheese and so are extending our subscription service.
The impact of the first national lockdown is still being felt across the British farm-made cheese community, and soon its effects will trickle down to customers looking to buy their Christmas cheese.
