Cheese of the Month Tasting: 8th July

Join Neal’s Yard Dairy cheesemonger Caitrin at 7pm on Thursday 8th July for a live, online guided tour of our July Cheese of the Month selection. During this informal and interactive tasting we will explore the different styles, techniques, and stories behind each cheese, and how to enjoy them to their fullest.

You will receive generous helpings of four different cheeses (enough for at least 4-5 people to enjoy together) and free delivery to addresses within mainland UK. Scroll down to learn more about this month's featured cheeses.

At checkout, please choose a preferred delivery date on or before 6th July to ensure delivery before the event.

The live tasting will be hosted on Crowdcast. Please be sure to register your attendance by clicking the link below and providing your contact email address. All communication prior to the event (reminders, fact sheets, and the link to the tasting on the evening) will only be sent by email to those registered on this page. No purchase is required to attend the discussion.

Delivery Information

Standard delivery is free to most postcodes in the UK for orders over £29.50. Click here for a list of postcodes where additional delivery charges apply.

Collection from our London shops is free - choose Shop Collection at checkout.

Select your preferred delivery date at checkout. As we use third party couriers (typically DPD) we cannot guarantee the arrival day of your order but we will do our best to ensure that it arrives as close as possible to your chosen date. To be sure it arrives in time, we suggest choosing a date a couple of days ahead of when you would like to eat your cheese.

If you have ordered a cheese subscription, your second and subsequent deliveries will occur approximately 30 days after your first delivery date.

Frequently we have limited quantities of new or experimental cheeses which we introduce to our customers through this selection. This makes the selection a good choice if you want to keep up to date with the latest developments in British cheese making.

Brightwell Ash

milk type
Goat

Vegetarian Coagulant

Raw

The tangy flavour of this cheese is bright and juicy. Its ashed rind is wrinkly, and the texture of the paste is pleasantly light and silky.

Minimum: 120g.

Gorwydd Caerphilly

milk type
Cow

coagulant
Animal Rennet

milk treatment
Raw

A densely crumbly centre presenting fresh, lemony flavours gives way to a creamy, more mushroomy layer beneath the edible rind – the happy result of this Caerphilly being matured for longer than most Caerphilly cheeses made today.

Mature Kirkham's Lancashire

Cow

coagulant
Animal Rennet

milk treatment
Raw

The longer maturation of these cheeses helps to create a more upfront, punchier flavour profile, whilst the texture is slightly drier but just as wonderfully crumbly as in the younger cheeses.

Tunworth

coagulant
Animal Rennet

Pasteurised

A Camembert-style cheese characterised by truffley, garlicky and vegetal flavours and a creamy and unctuous paste.

Minimum: 250g.
