Your first payment will be taken when you place the order, and your first delivery will be on the date that you select at check out. Payment and delivery in subsequent months will be spaced approximately one month apart. If you choose a pre-paid option, full payment will be taken when you place the order.

Warm, milky, round flavours are accentuated by a dense and silky texture. The flavour is surprisingly rich and long for such a delicate and relatively youthful cheese.

Our cheesemakers make cheese to order for the Neal's Yard Dairy Subscription and, as such, subscriptions cannot be cancelled until after your first three deliveries. Following this, rolling subscriptions may be cancelled provided notice is given at least one week prior to your next delivery. Please contact us for further information.

The Neal's Yard Dairy Subscription costs £36 per month. Your first subscription payment will be taken when you buy the subscription on our website and your first delivery will be on the date that you select at checkout. Your second payment and delivery will be approximately one month after the first delivery. Subsequent payments and deliveries will continue monthly from then on.

As a general rule of thumb, we would recommend roughly between 100 and 150 grams per person for after dinner, and a bit more if cheese is the focus of the meal. If you are buying cheese to serve over a couple of days or as part of a buffet, it is advisable to buy a few larger pieces. This will both look better and keep better than many small bits. To help visualise weights, a good tip is to consider that a regular supermarket pat of butter weighs between 200 and 250 grams. If you are at all unsure please give us a call for some advice.

The best option is to keep your cheese wrapped in its paper within a box in the fridge. This will prevent the cheese from drying out and absorbing other flavours. Your cheese will arrive wrapped in waxed cheese paper, which achieves the best possible balance between maintaining humidity around the cheese and allowing it to breathe. We are happy to provide some free extra cheese paper, just search for "cheese paper" and add it to your basket. We don't recommend cling film or foil as it can cause the cheese to sweat which will negatively affect the flavour.

Choose your delivery date at checkout and we will be in touch to let you know when we are preparing your order for dispatch. In addition our courier will contact you on the day of delivery with a one hour window slot. Please do not choose the redelivery option as your order will already have been picked up by the couriers and will remain in transit for an extended period. More information relating to courier deliveries can be found here. Your subsequent box will arrive approximately one month after the first, with each box arriving on a monthly basis thereafter. For example, if you receive your first box towards the end of July, your following boxes will arrive towards the end of each month going forward. Thoroughly enjoyed the cheeses, my only comment is I would not have goats cheese each month. Still we have signed up for a further 6 months!

Best cheese ever

I'm sure all the cheeses from Neal's yard are excellent, however, the sheer variety can make choosing a bit daunting. The beauty of a subscription is that an expert makes the choice and the cheese arrives in perfect condition.
There is also the element of surprise.
I have never been disappointed, or tasted better cheese.

Great for British Cheese

This subscription provided a great opportunity to learn about British cheese. There are reportedly over 700 British cheeses, so the eighteen cheeses we sampled over six months was a drop in the ocean. However it has encouraged us to become more curious about British farmhouse cheese in preference to the usual European staples.
