Cornish Yarg

A delicate, yoghurty cheese, which is wrapped in nettle leaves. Cornish Yarg tends to have a fluffy textured centre with lactic flavours and a buttery, creamy breakdown under the slightly earthy edible rind. 

Made with pasteurised cow's milk and animal rennet.

Made by Catherine Mead and team, Cornish Yarg is a modern British cheese. It was invented in the 1980s by Alan Gray and is now made by Lynher Dairies.

Our work with this cheese

We have a longstanding relationship with Cornish Yarg producers Lynher Dairies. They produce a version of the cheese especially for us which is made with animal rennet.
