The Cheesemonger’s Selection

In this cheese class we invite you to join us in our Borough Market shop after hours. The session will involve tasting different profiles of cheese from the really young and fresh up to some of our most mature cheeses, touching on the different styles, milks and techniques involved in making them. Along the way Estelle will guide you in what to consider when selecting cheese and how to curate the perfect cheeseboard for you. You’ll be given a tasting booklet with room to make notes and at the end of the session there will be the opportunity to buy cheese from the evening’s selection to take home.
This tasting is designed to serve as a light meal and includes samples of cheese, a cheese plate of 3 cheeses as well as bread, crackers and accompaniments. There will be samples of 3 beverages provided to give you a beginner’s insight into pairing cheese with beer and wine. As alcohol is served, all attendees must be over 18 years of age.
Estelle Reynolds joined Neal’s Yard Dairy in 2010 as a cheesemonger, having spent the previous 16 years managing pubs and restaurants. She has completed her Wine and Spirits diploma and has a passion for pairing food and drink, especially cheese and wine. Estelle has a broad knowledge of the cheeses we sell. She is particularly interested in exploring the fascinating batch and seasonal differences found in farmhouse cheese.
