Pimhill Oatcakes are produced by the Mayall family who have been farming in Shropshire for generations. The family decided to veer away from conventional farming practices in 1949 and stop using artificial fertilisers and chemicals: a very unusual and progressive decision for the time. The ethos of putting their land and livestock first is still at the heart of the farm and its current owner Ginny Mayall says that ‘our aim is to produce good food in the most environmentally sustainable way possible’.
