Clementine will present you with a selection of cheeses and beverages traditionally enjoyed in a brunch, served with sourdough breads, a variety of butters and other accompaniments. She will explain the different styles, milks and techniques involved in making the cheeses as well as elaborating on their suggested pairings.
This tasting will be hosted in the warehouse above our Borough market shop and is designed to serve as a light brunch. It will include a cheese plate as well as bread, crackers and accompaniments. There will be samples of 3-4 brunch-specific beverages provided to give you an introduction to pairing cheese with alcohol. As alcohol is served, all attendees must be over 18 years of age. Attendees will be offered a 10% discount, valid for one month, on all purchases made in our shops or in our online shop.
Clementine joined the Neal's Yard Dairy team two years ago and has spent her time working between our shops and our maturation arches, now managing our Bermondsey shop. Her work with the maturation team allows her to follow a cheese's journey from its reception to its sale on our slate. Clementine works with both soft and hard cheese and is interested in every stage of the cheese's life: from the grass the dairy animals eat to the wine we drink with our cheeseboard. Clementine studied Ecology, Agriculture and Food Science back home in France. She loves sharing her interests, talking about her work and inspiring others with her passion for the food she loves and its unique methods of production.
