The core of this cheese presents a crumbly curd with a clean, fresh flavour and a pleasant mineral tang. The breakdown under the rind is creamy and milky whilst the rind gives the cheese its earthy character.

With its orange-pink rind, Ogleshield has a gentle but complex flavour: it can be deeply savoury, almost reminiscent of chicken broth and has a sweet and milky aroma. It has a soft and pliant texture and melts beautifully; a perfect cooking cheese.

This cheese tends to have a sweet, caramelly flavour profile. Occasionally some cheeses will develop light spicy flavours too. It has a crumbly, buttery texture with subtle blue veining throughout.

As we work with a handmade, highly variable product, often we are left with slightly underweight pieces of cheese when cutting to order for our online and wholesale customers. Typically these little pieces are diverted to our shops to be sold there, as they are perfectly delicious! We have included one here as a surprise addition to complete the selection.

You can choose your preferred delivery date at checkout. To avail of the Telegraph Subscribers offer, please choose a date prior to 30.9.20. As days fill up, they will become greyed out/unavailable. We will aim to deliver +/- 3 days either side of your preferred delivery day.
