Cheverny "Argilo" 2021

Supplied by Dynamic Vines

Produced by Domaine de Veilloux Loire Valley, France.

The estate (on the outskirts of Cheverny) has been family-owned since the French Revolution, and six generations of the Quenioux family have now worked the land. Michel and Sylviane took the reins around 30 years ago, and transformed the estate into an archetype for organic and biodynamic farming in the region. Michel is a firm believer in the health and environmental benefits of clean agriculture, and so implemented these practices from the start.

The wine is aged for one year in old oak barrels made from wood that comes from the region, then bottled with no fining and a light filtration, giving it a full body and a slightly sweet finish. This "hands-off" style of winemaking ensures the integrity of each variety is preserved and celebrated.
