Delivery Information

Standard delivery is free to most postcodes in the UK for orders over £29.50. Click here for a list of postcodes where additional delivery charges apply.

Collection from our London shops is free - choose Shop Collection at checkout.

Select your preferred delivery date at checkout. As we use third party couriers (typically DPD) we cannot guarantee the arrival day of your order but we will do our best to ensure that it arrives as close as possible to your chosen date. To be sure it arrives in time, we suggest choosing a date a couple of days ahead of when you would like to eat your cheese.

If you have ordered a cheese subscription, your second and subsequent deliveries will occur approximately 30 days after your first delivery date.

This month's selection contains the three delicious cheeses listed below accompanied by a packet of Sheridan's Brown Bread crackers and weighs a minimum of 885g.

Sparkenhoe Blue

milk type

Animal Rennet

milk treatment

A rich and savoury blue cheese with a chewy texture and very fine threads of blue running through its crisp white paste.

Lincolnshire Poacher

milk type

Animal Rennet

milk treatment

West Country Cheddar meets Comté in this cheese, which typically boasts a smooth, densely creamy texture and flavours that can range from rich, savoury and brothy to long, sweet and almost pineapple-like.

Little Rollright

This small version of Rollright is perfect for baking. A washed rind soft and oozing cow's milk cheese, wrapped in a band of spruce bark, the texture is soft and glossy, and the flavour milky, with substantial woody notes and a hint of peanut.

Minimum: 250g.

Brown Bread Crackers

These crackers are made with four traditional Irish ingredients, including buttermilk, to impart the distinctive Irish Brown Bread taste. At Sheridans the ingredients are strikingly simple and sourced in close proximity to the bakery itself. They use flour stone-ground at Macroom Oatmeal Mills, butter from Bandon Co-op and buttermilk produced by the Cronin family from Belgooly; all in County Cork.

Wholemeal wheat flour (50%), buttermilk, butter, sea salt (may also contain traces of nuts).

Can I buy it as a gift?

Yes, we think it would make a wonderful gift! Customers often opt for the pre-pay options when giving the subscription as a gift - this allows you to pay in full and upfront for either a three month or six month subscription. See above for a downloadable gift certificate.

How do the payments work?

The Neal's Yard Dairy Subscription costs £28.50 per month. Your first subscription payment will be taken when you buy the subscription on our website and your first delivery will be on the date that you select at checkout. Your second payment and delivery will be approximately one month after the first delivery. Subsequent payments and deliveries will continue monthly from then on.

how much cheese to buy?

As a general rule of thumb, we would recommend roughly between 100 and 150 grams per person for after dinner, and a bit more if cheese is the focus of the meal. If you are buying cheese to serve over a couple of days or as part of a buffet, it is advisable to buy a few larger pieces. This will both look better and keep better than many small bits. To help visualise weights, a good tip is to consider that a regular supermarket pat of butter weighs between 200 and 250 grams. If you are at all unsure please give us a call for some advice.

how should i store my cheese?

The best option is to keep your cheese wrapped in its paper within a box in the fridge. This will prevent the cheese from drying out and absorbing other flavours. Your cheese will arrive wrapped in waxed cheese paper, which achieves the best possible balance between maintaining humidity around the cheese and allowing it to breathe. We are happy to provide some free extra cheese paper, just search for "cheese paper" and add it to your basket. We don't recommend cling film or foil as it can cause the cheese to sweat which will negatively affect the flavour.

When will I receive my cheese?

Choose your delivery date at checkout and we will be in touch to let you know when we are preparing your order for dispatch. In addition our courier will contact you on the day of delivery with a one hour window slot. Please do not choose the redelivery option as your order will already have been picked up by the couriers and will remain in transit for an extended period. More information relating to courier deliveries can be found here. Your subsequent box will arrive approximately one month after the first, with each box arriving on a monthly basis thereafter. For example, if you receive your first box towards the end of July, your following boxes will arrive towards the end of each month going forward. Please let us know if you are planning to be away - we're always happy to deliver either side of those dates.
